A poem

H:

What do you think love is?

I find it quite hard to know

Is it something you feel

Does it start inside and then grow?

Oh please carry my bottle gorgeous

It's making me slow!

M:

Pass it here darling, are we going the right way?

Well so many people have tried to say

Does love lift you up? Is it all you need?

Or something you'd do anything for...

H:

but not that, if you please!

Mind that puddle there darling

M:

Thank you my sweet

I heard that love is spectacular and sublime

It's learning to make fire together

It's reaching for the divine

It's looking at an empty sky

Next to you on a beach

And finding a depth and height

My soul didn't know it could reach

H:

Well, doesn't that sound impressive and grand

So it's shouting from rooftops

Writing big hearts in the sand?

M:

Yes! Oh steady there my love

Hold my hand

H:

Orrrr maybe the love that we have

Feels something like home

Knowing we’re together

Even when we’re alone

It's more than big events and trips

It sits in the gaps

In the breath between lips

It hovers around us

Like particles of air

It pushes us together

No matter where

We are or what we do

We’re playing with magic

Me and you

Check the map again gorgeous

I need a poo

M:

Just 10 minutes more sweetie

Then we'll share a big stew

So the love that we have

Yes it's grand and it’s proud

It’s driving through sunshine

With the music up loud

But it also feels something like warmth

Something close and tight

A bit like your hand

in my hand at night

H:

It feels something like diving

On top of the bed

Crossing your eyes at me

And wiggling your head

M:

When you find someone you love

it feels something like hope

H:

Knowing whatever life brings

We will cope

So being in love

is a pretty cool thing to be

Now give us a snog baby

before someone sees!
